Expression work

This is a concept or a definition which is properly mine. I felt as necessary to point up the top of the artist’s practices which can be truly found in true research under that name “Expression’s Work”.This situates the artist as a sleepwalker on the string of the art history.

Portraits and busts

Working as portrait maker is a very far-out exercise and it seems to me as a reverence to the model. Beyond the morphological and psychological studies, it’s the empathy with the subject which makes the artwork welcome. The three dimensions of the sculpture allows an infinity of view edges which bids an always new frequentation of the artwork piece with a presence always revived.

CREATION - ORDERS – COMPOSITION’S WORK

Creation isn’t always as a white page !… It starts often from a question, which causes incidentals, and so on, you need to invent to get trough ; It doesn’t mean to escape of these constraints, but, to used it for delighting the reality of the art work. The idea of commission joins the felling of what is described above, with this small difference that the requirements come from outside : either from the commissioner or whether the place of destination. The composition’s work is similar, in the sense where the constraints will be for example the styles with their grammars and vocabularies or the kind as for example the puppet

Restoration work

The artwork's restoration is a duty to ours peers ; the time is abolished and allow the dialogue with them : this let me think to the great French philosopher of XVIth. century Michel de Montaigne in his tower which counted about 3.000 books (one of greatest library of this time), and how he was in the intimacy of the philosophers of the high and low antiquity. Nota : The several examples I'm showing here are not exhaustive, they have an example value (I have wished better to show works done in 1979 to 1981 when I was working for the State Heritage (Monuments -Historiques) where I was entrusted to do important missions ; my remembering are strong, but I have lost the pictures.
